What is this?
Rare Rec is a curated marketplace for buying and selling rare vinyl records. We're trying to make it easier to buy and sell records. We're also building a collectors community. More info on that soon
How does is it work?
Rare is free for all members. Sellers create a record listing on the site. Buyers can then browse the listings and contact the seller to close the transaction
Why would I use it?
Rare Rec is designed to make it as easy as possible to trade records. Once you'll register, you can submit a listing in 30 sec using your phone. We want this to be a place where only the most interesting LPs and 45s may be found.
How can I join?
We are currently only accepting users referred by other members. You can sign up for the waitlist below
What is considered a rare record?
This includes records that meet the following criteria: 1) Records that have a history of selling for high prices, typically over $50. 2) Records that are not frequently found for sale on other platforms such as eBay or Discogs. Our criteria are rather arbitrary (we are aware of this), so trust your instincts when deciding if a record is rare or not. Use listings available on the site as a point of reference.
